But Does It Spin?

The assignment was deceptively simple: create a design from a letter, derive a series of projects from that design, match it to something in the real world, create a poster. Oh, and make it appear to be moving. Wha...? Making the movement come alive in the poster was a challenge. I fretted over placement, use of white space, size, scale, shading. How much is too much? Was there not enough? Evaluate, revise, iterate. Removing elements helped me focus on finding a definitive direction in both movement and the overall design. Lessons I learned from this early graphic design class project helped me with future "real world" endeavors.
